	Rewarding Meritocracy
	Aakriti group has fulfilling its social responsibility by promoting and rewarding children who show merit in academics, especially those who are less fortunate. Mr. Hemant Kumar, the Group MD, gave away an amount of Rs. 11000/- to Ku. Pragya Soni D/o Mr. Ajay Soni who was topped the 12th board exams in the category of handicapped students. In addition to this, the group also came forward to reward many students who scored more than 75% marks in the 10th and 12th exams. Besides promoting and rewarding outstanding students, the group has been involved in several environmental protection programmes by actively lending a helping hand to the campaigners.

	Donation towards a worthy cause
	Mr. Hemant Kumar, Managing Director of the Aakriti Group, donated a sum of Rs. 50000/- to the Guru Nanak Charitable Medical Centre which is dedicated to provide FREE treatment to the poor and ailing in a medical camp organized every year on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti. This year, too, the center will provide free surgical treatment to the poor. The donation will be a huge help in giving patients a bright hope of life.
	Inter school Green Bhopal painting Competition
	Aakriti group has alwyas been a outspoken advocate of eco-friendly practices that contrubute to making our world living-worthy. This time to spread this message of “ Green Earth”, we at Aakriti invited school children in Bhopal to share their ideas on how their city should look like. we asked the young ignited minds to paint the prospective picture of Bopal which is greener, cleaner and better. Fot this , we organised an inter school Green Bhopal Painting Competition in association with Dainik Bhaskar- so that participants would have an enjoyable and rewarding platform to display their skills. Children across a rare window into their sensitive souls. They displayed their awesome talent with the brush, and left beautiful, actionable messages for everyone. Aakriti 2010 calendar is a compendium of twelve of these paintings, short listed from the compitition entries. Let’s enjoy the magnificent work, at the same time resolve to act!
	Deepening and cleaning of lakes
	Bhopal is famed for its beautiful lakes. They not only provide eye-pleasing beauty but are also responsible for supplying drinking water to the city’s populace. Hence , it becomes all the more important to preserve Bhopal’s lakes. To conserve these precious water bodies, and to contribute to the natural beauty of Bhopal. Aakriti Group donated a sum of Rs. 5 lakhs. the amount has been used to deepening, cleaning and beautification of the city’s lakes.
